Police: Burglary, Robberies Reported in Hybla Valley, Richmond Highway

The latest daily activity report provided by the Fairfax County Police Department on Oct 17. Mentioned arrests do not indicate convictions.

The following are incidents reported in the Mount Vernon District according to the Fairfax County Police's daily activity report, released Thursday.

Robbery (red on map), 11:30 p.m., Oct. 13, 8000 block of Kidd Street, Two men entered a residence and one displayed a gun. The suspects took property and assaulted a resident. The victim sustained a non-life threatening injury. The first suspect was described as Asian, 20s to 30s, about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and wearing a dark coat or hoodie. The second suspect was described as in his 20s to 30s, about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and wearing a black ski mask.

Robbery 
(red on map), 1:57 a.m., Oct. 16, 8200 block of Russell Road, A man entered a convenience store and displayed a knife to an employee. The suspect took cash and fled. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as black, in his 20s, about 6 feet 3 inches tall with a thin build.

Burglary 
(blue on map), Oct. 16, 7000 block of Flamingo Drive, A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

Robbery 
(red on map), 6:15 p.m., Oct. 16, 7600 block of Richmond Highway, A 40-year-old man was shopping at this location and upon exiting the store, observed a man taking his black moped. The victim was pushed as the suspect fled on the moped. The suspect was described as black, 20’s, with short corn rows and wearing a gray sweater and khaki pants.

  • 4700 block of Tarpon Lane, 2007 BMW 530i
