Yogurt City Coming to Route 1 Corridor

Frozen yogurt company will open a location in Alexandria.

The Richmond Highway corridor will finally have a frozen yogurt shop.

Yogurt City is coming to 7615 Fordson Road next to Mamma's Kitchen.

David Ben, Southeast Fairfax Development Corporation marketing and communications manager, tells Patch that Yogurt City is a "great addition" to Route 1.

"I know at one point a yogurt chain was planned for the pad development in front of the King's Crossing Walmart, but that deal may have fallen through, so to at least have some other yogurt place in the area is a good thing in my opinion," Ben told Patch in an email.

An opening date for the store has not yet been determined, according to a Yogurt City representative.
