Progress on Insight Property Group Apartments
The 240-unit luxury apartment building is expected to be completed in mid-2014.
One day the space at the corner of North Kings Highway and School Street was empty, and the next day construction workers on scaffolds and back hoes were quickly putting up a luxury apartment building.
Insight Property Group started site work on the $54 million development in December 2012 and motorists watched as the structure quickly went up throughout the summer when construction began in May. The property is expected to have 240 units on a 3.8-acre site.
According to Southeast Fairfax Development Corporation (SFDC), the project — tentatively named "Huntington Metro" — is expected to be completed in mid-2014. Check out some recent photos of the property above.
