Jessie Biele is a 2004 graduate of Bellport High School and a 2008 graduate of SUNY Purchase, double-majoring in journalism and women's studies. She began her writing career over 2 years ago as a freelancer for The Long Island Advance. She is currently working as the staff writer for two Johnlor Publishing newspapers: The Suffolk County News and the Islip Bulletin. She is also a member of the Junior League of Long Island, where she edits and writes articles for Shorelines, its monthly e-newsletter. She is proud to be a part of the brand-new Patchogue Patch team.
