Many are non-native. Here is a list of the most invasive non-native species
not previously reported from GWMP in order of invasiveness starting with
the most invasive - Phragmites australis, Akebia quinata, Najas minor,
Sophora japonica, Ilex crenata, all the bamboos Phyllostachys and
Pseudosasa species, Pachysanda terminalis, Malus floribunda, Viburnum
sieboldii, and Iris pseudacorus. -
