Hidden in the Huntington Gateway shopping complex lives To Be Thai, a Huntington gem that offers healthy and MSG-free Thai food. Inside, it is beautifully decorated but completely empty. The owner, obviously disappointed that I was alone, quickly sat me at a window table. Right away I ordered a Thai iced tea ($1.75), one of my all time favorite drinks. While it looked right, the taste wasn't on par with what I'm used to. It lacked the traditional sweet aftertaste and instead left a bitter black tea tang. I'm thinking their "Healthy Thai" motto inspired the lack of sugar, but any true Thai tea fan knows what they're ordering and wants the right flavor. I eat at the To Be Thai every chance I get. If people would go there once they would continue to return. The parking is great too. more ›
