UPDATE: Rite Aid Robbery Suspect Arrested

The suspect turned himself in on Monday.

UPDATE (Tuesday, Nov. 27, 4:35 p.m.): The suspect in Saturday's robbery at the Hollin Hall Rite Aid turned himself in at the Mount Vernon Police District station. Mark Posey, 56, of Jackson Road was arrested yesterday and charged with robbery, said police spokesperson Lucy Caldwell. Man Robs Fort Hunt Pharmacy

No injuries were reported.

Fairfax County police are searching for a man who robbed a Fort Hunt pharmacy of prescription medications shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday. The robbery occurred at Rite Aid, 7968 Fort Hunt Road, in the Hollin Hall Shopping Center. No one was injured. Police said the man entered the store and handed a clerk a threatening note demanding prescription medications, including Dilaudid, a powerful painkiller. The clerk complied and handed over the medications, and the man ran from the store. He did not display a weapon. Police officers, a police helicopter and police dogs were used to help locate the man, who was not apprehended.
