We're looking for the best in the county.
Whether part of a “staycation,” a place to send the in-laws when they come to visit or a night near the airport before that 6 a.m. plane, Fairfax County is full of hotels, motels, residential suites and other accommodations. Patch wants to know which hotel is your go-to spot or the place you highly recommend. Your nominations were accepted through July 9. Voting is from July 23 through August 17. Thanks for participating! Fairfax County Patch sites are on Facebook (fan Patch in Fairfax County) and on Twitter @FairfaxCoPatch.

Summer is wedding season.
More weddings happen in summer than at any other time of year. Outside in the sun or inside in the air conditioning, cost, space and location — choosing a wedding reception venue is full of complicated decisions. Patch wants to know what you think of local wedding venues. Did you or a friend get married somewhere really special? Was the venue gorgeous? Did the reception go smoothly? Did the venue have all the amenities you needed? Patch accepted nominations through July 9. The voting period ends August 17. Thanks for participating! The Embassy Suites in Tysons is great! Family stays there when they come into town and we had the pleasure of ridding out the no power weekend there ourselves. You can't beat the cleanliness, comfort, luxury and amenities at such a great price. They offer shuttle service within a 3 mile area (Tysons Corner Mall - check!), a full hot breakfast included in the stay - omelettes made to order, …   more ›
