Patient First staff, Mount Vernon-Lee Chamber of Commerce members, and representatives from the Southeast Fairfax Development Corporation were on hand Thursday for the ribbon-cutting of Patient First at Kings Crossing. Patient First, an urgent and primary care center, chose the Kings Crossing location due to its growth and activity. "The area's growing so quickly that we thought it'd be a great area for the business," Patient First spokeswoman Tara Ghavham said. The second business in the new Kings Crossing development will open for business on Friday.
Patient First will open its urgent and primary care center at Kings Crossing on Friday. “The goal of Patient First is to provide convenient, cost-effective medical care on a walk-in basis,” Patient First founder and CEO R.P. Sowers, M.D. said in a release. “At the same time, our physicians and staff always work closely and in a collaborative fashion with the area’s existing medical community to provide care.” The new Patient First center, at 6303 Richmond Highway, will offer medical care including urgent care, primary care providers, digital x-ray services, lab work, prescriptions, and occupational health services. Patient First, one of the new tenants at King's Crossing Shopping Center, 6303 Richmond Highway, is set to open in December, according to company spokesman Ian Slinkman. Workers were busy last week putting the finishing touches on sidewalks and working on the interior of the brick building. Kings Crossing is anchored by Walmart, which covers 80,000 square feet. A 15,000-square-foot Chuck E. Cheese’s is located next door. The building housing the neighborhood medical clinic will be located between Walmart and Richmond Highway. It will be open 365 days a year with hours from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., with no appointment necessary. The medical center will honor all major health insurance plans.
