Bucknell Elementary School to Open Parent Center
Bucknell ES is opening a Parent Center to connect parents to the education process and provide valuable resources to local families
One local elementary school is opening its doors in a new way to parents. Bucknell Elementary School will be home to Fairfax County Public School's newest Parent Center this school year. The center will be comparable to existing versions in 37 other Fairfax county schools, all launched by the Department of Communications and Community Outreach. The centers provide a bridge among parents and offer a variety of services and programs. While parents can borrow educational games, books and videos for their children, the center allows parents to better themselves with programs on computers, English, parenting, health issues and academic subjects.
