Fort Hunt Cooperative Preschool Open House Saturday

The open house coincides with the start of open enrollment for fall 2013.

Fort Hunt Cooperative Preschool will host an open house Saturday for parents and children.  This is a parent-run cooperative for 2 to 4 year-old children on the grounds of the Mount Vernon Unitarian Church. The open-enrollment period for this coming fall is Feb. 2-15. Children are welcome to attend Saturday's open house. The open house will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. SFDC to Host Open House

Local economic development corp. invites community to new offices.

The Southeast Fairfax Development Corporation will ring in 2013 Wednesday with an open house. Guests will learn more about SFDC’s new office space and logo, the completion of the Beacon of Groveton and Kings Crossing Phase II, and the approval of new revitalization projects on Richmond Highway.  SFDC will also present the 12th annual Mary Thonen Beautification Awards to five properties that have made outstanding efforts to improve the appearance of their business through landscaping and planting. The Montebello condominiums will be recognized for its status as a leader in the beautification of the Route 1 corridor for two years. The SFDC open house is free and open to the public.
