More than a dozen athletes from Virginia and several from D.C. are already in London preparing for the 2012 Olympic Games, which start with the opening ceremony Friday. In honor of them (and to have a little fun), we've put together this trivia contest on local Olympic athletes past and present. If you answer all of these questions correctly by putting your answers in the comments section below, we'll put you in a drawing to win a Patch prize pack in addition to a $25 VISA gift card. London 2012: Northern Virginia Olympians' Competition Schedule
Five athletes from Northern Virginia are competing in the 2012 Olympics in London.
Fourteen athletes from Virginia — five from Northern Virginia — will be competing in the 2012 Olympics in London starting this weekend. You can watch many of the events on NBC. If you have a cable, satellite television or a “telco” subscription that includes both MSNBC and CNBC, you can watch every Olympic event live online.
