Huntington Community Association to Have Meeting Thursday

The monthly meeting will take place at the Huntington Community Center.

The Huntington Community Center will have its monthly meeting this Thursday at the Huntington Community Center. The meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. Meetings are also open to all residents of the Huntington community. Each meeting is led by the president and vice president of the organization, Harry Sheppler and Stephanie Leedom. The members usually voice any concerns they have around the area involving crime or illegal activity and discuss upcoming events such as neighborhood clean ups. During this month's meeting, Mr. Sean Pink from A & R Development will give an update on the status of the redevelopment plans for the property on the corner of Huntington Avenue and Biscayne Drive. Huntington Community Association's Annual Potluck

December's HCA meeting will include many casseroles and side dishes.

The monthly Huntington Community Association meeting this Thursday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m., will include the organization's annual potluck. Residents are asked to bring a main dish or casserole, salad, side dishes or dessert to share with others, according to the agenda. HCA will provide paper products and beverages for the event at the Huntington Community Center. The potluck gives Huntington residents and HCA members the opportunity to share holiday cheer, have conversation with neighbors and make new friends. Outside of the potluck, residents can take a look at the revisions to the proposed A&R Development at Huntington Avenue and Biscayne Drive. Help a Child at Huntington Community Center's Angel Tree

The Angel Tree is on display at the community center with many gift suggestions from local children.

The Huntington Community Center is helping local children with what they are calling an Angel Tree this holiday season. The Angel Tree is up and filled with gift suggestions from neighborhood children. "The children decorated their angels and put them on the tree with something they want or need under $20," said Elisa Velasco, the center's assistant director. Those interested in donating a gift can stop by the center during regular hours Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. Gifts must be dropped off at the center by Dec. 20, so the children can receive them by Dec. 21. Huntington Community Center Having Food Drive

The Huntington Community Center will have a food drive through December; center's Thanksgiving potluck is Saturday, Nov. 17.

The Huntington Community Center is currently having its annual food drive that will extend through December. The center is accepting non-perishable foods, cleaning materials and paper products to help those in need throughout the holiday season. Elisa Velasco, the center's assistant director, said they will have a box set up at the center where people can drop off donations during the center's regular hours. The Huntington Community Center is open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturdays. The center will also accept gift cards to local grocery stores for the purchase of meat and vegetables and other perishable items. Huntington Community to Have Neighborhood Clean-Up

The Huntington Community Association will lead a neighborhood clean-up on Saturday.

The Huntington Community Association will have a neighborhood clean-up Saturday, Nov. 17. The clean-up day is one of three "adopt a highway" clean-ups. Those interested in helping out are meeting at 9 a.m. at the Huntington Community Center to coordinate and receive assignments for the day. During the clean-up, volunteers will focus most of their efforts along Huntington Avenue, the park and other streets throughout the community. Huntington Community Center Hosts Senior Program

Mount Vernon at Home will host an info session today.

1. Mount Vernon at Home will host an information session at Sherwood Regional Library today. 2. The Huntington Community Center will host its senior program today.  3.
