Penn Daw Fire Station Opens House

The Penn Daw station capped off Fire Prevention Week on Saturday with an open house

Fire Prevention Week began as a commemorative event of the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. As of 1911, the Fire Marshals Association of North America (now the International Fire Marshals Association) decided to change the event as a public service fire prevention day rather than a celebration. For more information, read our full Fire Prevention Week story from earlier this week.
