Open Invitation: Front Porch of Belle Haven Cape Welcomes All
Five-bedroom, four-bath home has seen several improvements over the years from various owners.
It was the front porch of the home at 6120 Woodmont Road that captured Lynn Eccleston. Stretching across the entire length of the 1980 Cape, it beckoned Lynn and her attorney husband, Hal Wegner, to enter. “If the house hadn’t had the porch, we wouldn’t even have gone into it,” said Lynn, a retired attorney. ”But when we walked in, we fell in love.” In fact, the couple was not even looking to buy a home when they visited Woodmont Road in 2004. They already owned a small Arts and Crafts style home a few miles away, and were visiting open houses just to get ideas for renovating and expanding that house.
