From Huntington-Belle Haven Patch Huntington residents spoke about the issue of flood protection for their community at a Board of Supervisors public hearing Thursday. As of Tuesday, the “Stop the Floods” petition had more than 1,000 signatures from Fairfax County residents. From Fort Hunt Patch Construction on the new Costco on Richmond Highway began this week. The existing Mount Vernon Multiplex theater will be demolished sometime in the near future, said David Versel of the SFDC. Thieves have been stealing unattended packages at homes located in the Mount Vernon District, according to police.
