Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is expected to be formally nominated Tuesday night at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla. Romney and running mate Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin originally were to be nominated Monday, but GOP Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, who opened the convention Monday afternoon, immediately put it in recess until Tuesday, due to Hurricane Isaac. The storm has shortened the convention. In a roll-call vote, convention delegates will formally put Romney and Ryan on the November ballot, to face President Obama and Vice President Biden.
