Not sure why last reviewer would think that an appointment that she terminated midway through would be free of charge. Also, it is the norm that you bring whatever info you want the doctor to know about your pet with you or have it provided. It is hardly their job to conduct an investigation. Time is money, even with pets. My experience with Ft. Hunt was like the first two reviewers. Office is not fancy, but neither are their prices. Good care provided.

I've gone to DelRay Animal Hospital for 25 years. Recently there was an emergency with one of my dogs and, because they are close, I went to Ft Hunt Animal Hospital. Let's just say the doctor that was assisting us was less than professional in many ways. When I asked that she call my vet to get my dog's info she told me 'they can call me'. We went around a bit and she finally retreated and called DelRay. After that display my comfort level was not at Ft Hunt therefore I decided to drive to DelRay only to learn that Ft Hunt had charged me $25 for calling DelRay! I was not aware of that until my vet pointed it out with antipathy.

Although my beloved dog is no longer with us, at least she passed in the loving arms of her family and Dr. Hergan who, like all the vets at DelRay, displayed the utmost compassion for not only my dog but my family. They truly LOVE their patients and ALL animals and it shows.

A few years earlier another one of our dogs was choking on a treat and her tongue was absolutely blue. Dr Ferrell quickly talked us through the Heimlich maneuver on the phone otherwise she would have choked to death.

I could go on with other stories from the past care my pets have received but I'll just suffice it to say I will NEVER refer anyone to Ft Hunt Animal Hospital let alone go there again.

They have always taken excellent care of our dog. I also give this business a strong recommendation. Dan Meyer
