Election Day, FCPS Closed and Teacher Workday Little League Camp
Here are few things you should know about in Northern Virginia this week.
As usual, there's always a lot going on in NoVa. This week, FCPS students will only go to school for three days, Virginians will vote for their next governor and one school has planned an event to keep the little ones occupied during their days off. Here are some things you should know about for the week of Nov. 4.
- Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4 in Virginia. Although early voting has been quite successful this year, many Virginians still need to cast their ballots. Here's everything you need to know about how, when and where to vote.
- FCPS students get to sleep in on Monday and Tuesday. FCPS is closed on Monday for a teacher workday and on Tuesday for Election Day.
- Keep the kids occupied on teacher workday in Fairfax County. Lee High School in Springfield will offer Teacher Workday Little League Camp on Monday. Find more information here.
- The Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia (JCCNV) will have a Book Festival Nov. 2-13 at 8900 Little River Turnpike in Fairfax. Find out more information on the festival here.
- Grounded Coffee Shop at 6919 Telegraph Rd. is offering a free cup of coffee to their customers who donate $5 to UCM's Help the Homeless Campaign from Fri. Nov. 1 - Fri. Nov. 15.
