Help Clean Up Fort Hunt Park on April 27

You're invited to join the Friends of Fort Hunt Park, NPCA, and the National Park Service (NPS) for a trash cleanup, invasive plant removal, and restoration of the four historic artillery batteries.

Celebrate National Park Week with a cleanup and celebration of Fort Hunt Park on the George Washington Memorial Parkway in Alexandria.

Native Americans settled the area 8,000 years ago, and since then, it has become a farm for George Washington, a 19th century military fortress, and a top-secret World War II military intelligence installation known only as PO Box 1142. Today, Fort Hunt Park is a popular picnicking and recreational park.

You're invited to join the Friends of Fort Hunt Park, NPCA, and the National Park Service (NPS) for a trash cleanup, invasive plant removal, and restoration of the four historic artillery batteries.
