West Potomac Wolverines Fall to the Centreville Wildcats

Centreville takes home a win in the 2013-2014 season opener, 51-7.

The West Potomac Wolverines ended Thursday night with a huge loss in their season opener against the Centreville Wildcats. By the fourth quarter of the game, the Wolverines were still struggling to get on the scoreboard while the Wildcats had made it to the end zone multiple times, scoring a total of 51 points to the Wolverines zero.

It seems Centreville went by the motto "The bigger the better" when choosing this year's players as many of the Wildcats towered over the Wolverines — an advantage that seemed to work in their favor.

Although they struggled throughout the game Thursday night, the Wolverines managed to score a touchdown with less than two minutes left in the game and also landed the extra point, bring the final score to 51-7 in favor of the Wildcats.

Next week Friday, the Wolverines will take on Fairfax High and Centreville will go head to head with T.C. Williams.
