Something Else to Vote on ...

While the presidential candidates have gotten lots of attention, Fairfax County residents also have several bond issues to consider in the upcoming election.

We’ve been hearing lots about the issues concerning the elections to be held on November 6. While the presidential candidates have gotten lots of attention, Fairfax County residents have several bond issues to consider as well.

Library branches share a commitment to provide easy access to resources for the education, entertainment, business, and pleasure of Fairfax County and City of Fairfax residents of all ages. To do so, the library provides a network of facilities to offer services responding to the needs of the community it serves. For instance, Sherwood Regional offers programs for all ages, computers for public use, and an array of reading materials. The library also provides mechanisms to share these resources among branches. Periodically, existing facilities are redesigned and renovated to maximize the use of space and modern technologies.

Long time Mount Vernon residents may remember when Sherwood was renovated in 1992. More recently, Martha Washington was modernized, allowing for the addition of more meeting space and computers.
