Dig Into Reading this Summer at the Library!

The library's Summer Reading Program starts June 18. Are you ready?

Now that it’s summer, many of us look forward to digging in the sand with our toes or with plastic shovels. For those of us who like to dig into a good book … Get ready to “Dig Into Reading” this summer at the Sherwood Regional Library! Registration for the Summer Reading Program begins on June 18. You can register online at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/library or by visiting the library. Bring your completed reading log to the library by August 31 and earn a coupon book filled with prizes and discounts. Preschoolers through sixth graders can read 15 books, and students entering grades 7-12 can read 8 books. Read for fun or from your school reading list.

Celebrate this summer by registering for all of the fun events happening at the Sherwood Regional Library. You’ll see wonderful performers like Groovy Nate, Goodlife Theatre, Los Quentzales Mexican Dance, and Grey Seal Puppets; and cool programs for teens like “Create It With Duct Tape” with Shannyn Snyder on June 25. Register for these events and more online at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/library or at your library.
