This year's event will be the fourth annual fundraiser, scheduled for Saturday, May 4 from 1-3 p.m. at Fort Hunt Park, at Pavilion B. Fort Hunt Park is located at 8999 Fort Hunt Road. Saturday's weather forecast, according to The Weather Channel is for "mostly sunny" skies and a high of 68 degrees.

The fundraiser in the past has featured Mexican food, Tejano music and beer as well as visits with constituents, colleagues in the General Assembly and members of the Fairfax County School Board.
“This is one of the most successful fundraisers I have every year," Surovell told Patch last year. "We've made about $30,000 today." An attorney, Surovell was elected to Virginia's House of Delegates in 2009, and is the former chair of the Fairfax County Democratic Committee.
Past guests have included state Sen. Toddy Puller (D-36th), state Sen. Adam Ebbin (D-30th), Del. Eileen Filler-Corn (D-41st), Del. Alfonso Lopez (D-49th), Dan Storck, Mount Vernon District School Board representative on the Fairfax County School Board and Ryan McElveen, at-large School Board representative.
