Fairfax County Warns of Possible Street Flooding

Huntington, BelleView and New Alexandria areas could see some minor street flooding.

Due to rainfall Tuesday afternoon, Fairfax County is predicting possible street flooding in some low-lying areas of the county. 

Based on the afternoon forecast and current flows in Cameron Run, county officials predict that residents may experience minor street flooding in the Huntington area and localized street flooding in the BelleView/New Alexandria areas. 

Residents in those areas are encouraged to move vehicles to higher elevations as a precautionary measure. 

County public works, emergency management and public safety personnel continue to monitor the weather and conditions and the ground and send additional alerts if the situation changes.
