Two Men Rob 7-Eleven in Mount Vernon

Handgun used to threaten employee, according to Fairfax County Police.

Fairfax County Police are investigating the robbery of a Mount Vernon convenience store on Monday afternoon.

Just after 3 p.m., two men entered the 7-Eleven at 8146 Old Mount Vernon Road. One man reportedly displayed a handgun and demanded money from the employee. 

The suspects took money and fled on foot, according to police. There were no injuries.

The first suspect was described as black, 20s, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and wearing a blue pullover and white ball cap. The second suspect was described as black, 20s, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and wearing a dark hoodie.
