Holiday Bank Robbery Possibly Related to Franconia Heist

Fort Hunt robbery two days before Christmas, according to Fairfax County Police.

Two days before Christmas, an unidentified man entered the BB&T bank at 6110 Fort Hunt Road, and demanded an unspecified amount of cash from a teller.  The man subsequently left the branch, and his whereabouts are unknown. Fairfax County Police reported no injuries.

According to officials, the suspect is described as a black male standing 5 feet 7 inches tall.  He was dressed in a green reflective vest, white hard hat, and sunglasses.

Detectives are investigating if this is the same suspect involved in another brazen bank robbery at a Wells Fargo branch Saturday afternoon in the Franconia area.  Authorities believe the suspect's tactic in this robbery, resemble last weekend's crime.

Police ask that anyone with information regarding the robbery, or the suspect's location, contact Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS/8477, or Fairfax County Police at 703-691-2131.
