Police: Two Burglaries Reported in the Alexandria Area

The latest weekly activity report provided by the Fairfax County Police Department on Aug. 23. Mentioned arrests do not indicate convictions.

The following are incidents reported by the Fairfax County Police in their weekly report, released Friday.

Burglary (red on map), 8 p.m., Aug. 16, 4500 block of Wyres Street, A resident reported someone entered the home and stole several electronic items. There were no signs of forced entry.

Burglary 
(red on map), 7:25 p.m., Aug. 21, 7700 block of Richmond Highway, An employee reported someone entered the business and stole the cash register. There were no signs of forced entry.

In separate and unrelated incidents:

Unlawful Entry (blue on map), 11:10 p.m., Aug. 18, 8400 block of Fort Hunt Road, Officers responded for an alarm. A damaged door and two juvenile boys were located. Charges are pending.

  • 8300 block of Brockham Drive, belt and medication from residence
  • 8300 block of Brockham Drive, bicycle from residence
  • 8300 block of Brockham Drive, cell phone from residence
  • 7900 block of Flamingo Drive, cell phone from residence
  • 7900 block of Grimsley Street, purse from vehicle
  • 2900 block of Groveton Street, license plates from vehicle
  • 2300 block of Huntington Avenue, wallet from business
  • 8100 block of Mount Vernon Highway, beer from business
  • 7400 block of Mount Vernon Square, beer from business
  • 6600 block of Richmond Highway, cell phone from business
  • 6700 block of Richmond Highway, backpack from vehicle
  • 7900 block of Richmond Highway, DVDs from business
  • 7900 block of Richmond Highway, scissors from business
  • 8400 block of Richmond Avenue, television from residence
  • 8200 block of Russell Road, food from business
  • 4900 block of Shirley Street, GPS from residence
  • 8000 block of Steadman Street, wallet from vehicle
  • 8000 block of Steadman Street, cash from vehicle
  • 1900 block of Windmill Lane, cash from business
No stolen vehicles were reported at the time.
