Update: Body Found on Occoquan Identified, Husband Charged With Murder

Fairfax County Police have identified the body of Andrea Crew of Alexandria as the woman found floating on the Occoquan River on Saturday, Aug. 10, and have charged her husband, 25-year-old Caleb Crew, with her murder. 

Andrea Crew, 31, a mother of two living in the 8000 block of Gila Court in Alexandria, was found by a boater at around 9 a.m. on Saturday. 

Caleb Crew was arrested at the Mount Vernon District Station, was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and was served with a warrant charging him with his wife's murder. 

According to police, Andrea Crew was last seen near a bank in the 5500 clock of Cherokee Ave. on Aug. 7, and was reported missing the following day. She was transported to the Fairfax County Medical Examiner's office where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the manner of her death.

Fairfax County Police detectives are asking for help in finding a missing Mount Vernon woman last seen near a bank off of Interstate 395 on Wednesday.

Andrew Crew, 31, of Gila Court, was last seen in the 5500 block of Cherokee Avenue at 11 a.m. Aug. 7. 

She was spotted getting out of a beige Jeep Cherokee, according to police. She has not contacted her family nor returned home.

"Based upon the totality of the investigation, authorities are concerned for her safety," FCPD noted in a release. "Neither police, family, nor friends have heard from Crew."
