Police: Robberies, Attempted Robbery Reported in Alexandria

The latest weekly activity report provided by the Fairfax County Police Department on Sept. 20. Mentioned arrests do not indicate convictions.

The following are incidents reported by the Fairfax County Police in their weekly report, released Friday.

Robbery Attempt (blue on map), Sept. 15, 7900 block of Audubon Avenue. A resident was walking in the area when he was approached by two men. One of the suspects displayed a gun and struck the victim. The victim fled, suffering non-life threatening injuries. The suspects were described as black, 20 to 30 and wearing all black clothing.

Robbery
(blue on map), 9:30 p.m., Sept. 17, 5800 block of Monticello Road. A 18-year-old woman was walking in the area when a man grabbed her purse from behind. The suspects were described as two men, one wearing a red hoodie and the other wearing a black hoodie.

Robbery 
(blue on map), 11:30 p.m., Sept. 17, 7900 block of Janna Lee Avenue. A 27-year-old man was walking in the area when three to four men approached him. One suspect assaulted the victim and while the victim attempted to flee, he was shot in the lower body. The victim sustained a non-life threatening injury. The suspects were described as black, wearing all black clothing.
