Police: Multiple Burglaries, Robberies Reported in Alexandria

The latest weekly activity report provided by the Fairfax County Police Department on Aug. 2. Mentioned arrests do not indicate convictions.

The following are incidents reported by the Fairfax County Police in their weekly report, released Friday.

Burglary (red on map), 3:45 a.m., July 29, 7600 block of Richmond Highway, An employee reported someone entered the business and stole cash. Forced entry was made through the front door.

Burglary (red on map), 5 p.m., July 29, 5800 block of Wyomissing Court, A resident reported someone entered the home and stole several items to include a television. There were no signs of forced entry.

Robbery (blue on map), 6:30 p.m., July 29, 8600 block of Richmond Highway, Three young men were approached by a man who allegedly demanded money. The victims attempted to back away and one victim was struck in the face. Following an investigation, David Bibby, 25, of no fixed address, was charged with malicious wounding and three counts of robbery.

Burglary (red on map), 5:40 p.m., July 30, 2700 block of Dawn Drive, A resident reported someone entered the home and stole cash. Entry was made through a rear window.

Burglary (red on map), 1:35 p.m., July 30, 7200 block of Harrison Lane, A resident reported someone entered the home and stole a television. Forced entry was made through a rear door.

Burglary (red on map), 9:30 a.m., July 31, 6600 block of 10th Street, A resident reported someone entered the home and stole jewelry. There were no signs of forced entry.

Bank Robbery in Hybla Valley Area. A TD Bank on Richmond Highway was robbed Monday morning, according to Fairfax County Police. The subject is described as black, around 180 pounds with a blue hat and sunglasses. The man walked into the bank at around 9 a.m. Monday morning at 6615 Richmond Highway. The subject demanded money from a 23-year-old teller, who complied, according to police.

Fatal Car Accident. Richard Pro, 85, of Alexandria, died in June after enduring injuries during a car crash that happened May 29 on Richmond Highway, according to an FCPD news release Friday.

  • 6400 block of Richmond Highway, tags from vehicle
  • 6700 block of Richmond Highway, wallet from business
  • 7600 block of Richmond Highway, wallet from business
  • 8600 block of Richmond Highway, liquor from business
  • 8600 block of Richmond Highway, purse from business
  • 5800 block of Village Green Drive, electronic device from residence

  • 5900 block of Richmond Highway, 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee
  • 6000 block of Richmond Highway, 2003 Ford Focus
  • 8400 block of Richmond Highway, Penske truck
