Police: More Than 20 Men Charged with Solicitation of Prostitutes

The Organized Crime and Narcotics Division (OCN) supplemented by Patrol Officers led the undercover investigation.

On Aug. 15, Police arrested and charged 23 men in the Fairfax County area with solicitation of prostitution, according to a press release Wednesday.

After hearing from concerned citizens and to discourage illegal activity in the county, Fairfax County Police performed an undercover operation throughout the county between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m.

While undercover, officers communicated online and met men at four different hotels. Arrests took place at hotels, Tysons Corner, Springfield, Herndon and Falls Church. One of the 23 men was also charged with possession of cocaine, according to the release.

The Organized Crime and Narcotics Division (OCN) supplemented by Patrol Officers led the undercover investigation. OCN detectives have developed community outreach relationships with local hotels, according to the news release. Businesses request this type of pro-active approach of law enforcement to thwart illegal activity in their establishments.
