Police: Men Rob Couple Sleeping In Route 1 Motel

Police say the suspects tied up the victims and stole two laptops and a purse

Police say two masked men robbed a 33-year-old man and 38-year-old woman staying at the at 5916 Richmond Highway, early Tuesday morning

The victims were asleep inside their room at around 3:30 a.m. when two men, one armed with a gun, forced their way into the room through the door.

Police say the suspects tied up the victims and stole two laptops and the woman’s purse. The thieves then took the victims’ 2007 Ford Expedition and fled the motel.

The victims did not require medical attention.

Police say the suspects were black and in their late 20s.  They are described as between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall and about 190 to 210 pounds.  Police say one suspect had hazel-colored eyes and the other wore silver-framed glasses. Both suspects were reportedly wearing all dark clothing.
