Police Investigating Convenience Store Robbery in Huntington

The 7-Eleven on Huntington Avenue was robbed Wednesday night.

Police are currently investigating a robbery that occurred Wednesday night at the 7-Eleven located at 2305 Huntington Ave., in the Huntington area of Alexandria.

According to a recent news release from Fairfax County Police Department, the man entered the 7-Eleven at 9:39 p.m. Wednesday, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the store employee. The suspect then took the money and fled on foot. No injuries were reported during the incident.

The suspect was described as a black male in his 20s, between 5'11" and 6'2" and weighing about 180-200 pounds.

hmmm...if this 7-Eleven is in the "Huntington area of Alexandria", as the article states, why are the Fairfax County Police working on this case, rather than the Alexandria Police? Is this 7-Eleven in Fairfax County or in Alexandria?
