UPDATE: Rite Aid Robbery Suspect Arrested

The suspect turned himself in on Monday.

UPDATE (Tuesday, Nov. 27, 4:35 p.m.): The suspect in Saturday's robbery at the Hollin Hall Rite Aid turned himself in at the Mount Vernon Police District station.

Mark Posey, 56, of Jackson Road was arrested yesterday and charged with robbery, said police spokesperson Lucy Caldwell.

UPDATE (Monday, Nov. 26, 9:45 a.m.): Police are searching for the suspect in the robbery reported at the Rite Aid on Saturday afternoon.

A white male, between the ages of 50 and 59 and medium build approached a cashier, implied a weapon and robbed the pharmacy, according to Fairfax County Police spokesperson Lucy Caldwell. The clerk complied and the suspect fled, Caldwell said.

The suspect wore a heavy green-gray jacket and faded gray jeans. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call Fairfax County Crime Solvers at 1-800-411-TIPS or text message TIP187 plus your message to CRIMES (274637).

ORIGINAL POST (Saturday, Nov. 24) 

Fairfax County Police are investigating a robbery that took place at the Hollin Hall Rite Aid on Saturday night.

According to police, the robbery was reported around 5 p.m. Saturday night.

Police helicopters and K-9 units were dispatched to the Hollin Hall Shopping Center.

Police are still investigating the incident.

The Rite Aid was also robbed in April of this year.
