Police Charge Two Teens in Saturday Night Armed Robberies in Hybla Valley

Police arrested two area teens for robberies that took place late Saturday night in Hybla Valley. One of the teens was reportedly armed with a gun.

Fairfax County Police have made arrests for two robberies that took place late Saturday night.

In the first robbery, the victim was walking when two suspects approached him. One suspect displayed a handgun and demanded cash. One suspect assaulted the victim and the victim fled before surrendering any property. The victim was able to summon police and was subsequently transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Within minutes, the second victim was walking in the 3400 block of Audubon Avenue when he was approached by the same two suspects. One suspect again displayed a handgun and demanded cash. The second victim relinquished cash and property and the suspects fled on foot. The second victim was uninjured.

Responding police officers located both suspects and after a short foot pursuit, took them into custody. 

A 17-year-old male from the Alexandria-area of Fairfax County was charged with robbery, attempted robbery, malicious wounding and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. A 15-year-old male from the Alexandria-area of Fairfax County was charged with robbery and attempted robbery.
