Police: Burglaries, Robberies Reported in Mount Vernon District

The latest weekly activity report provided by the Fairfax County Police Department on Sept. 27. Mentioned arrests do not indicate convictions.

The following are incidents reported by the Fairfax County Police in their weekly report, released Friday.

Burglary 
(blue on map), Sept. 19, 6100 Richmond Highway, A customer reported someone entered the hotel room and took electronic equipment and personal property. Entry was made through a door.
Burglary 
(blue on map), Sept. 23, 1000 block of Duffield Lane, A resident reported someone entered the home and took jewelry and personal property. Forced entry was made through a door.

Robbery 
(red on map), 4:45 p.m., Sept. 23, 7700 block of Richmond Highway, A 54-year-old man was parking his vehicle when two men approached him. One suspect displayed a handgun and took the victim’s car keys but both suspects then fled. The first suspect was described as black and in his 20s and the second was described as white and in his 20s.

Robbery 
(red on map), 11:15 p.m., Sept. 23, Aspen Drive/Buckman Road, A 20-year-old man was walking when three men approached him. One suspect displayed a handgun and the other suspects took personal property from the victim. The suspects were described as black.

Robbery 
(red on map), Sept. 23, 7600 block of Richmond Highway, A 44-year-old employee was assaulted by a man inside a store. The suspect then took merchandise and fled. The suspect is described as black, 30’s and about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall.

Burglary 
(blue on map), Sept. 25, 2000 block of Fort Drive, A resident reported someone entered the home and took jewelry and personal property. Forced entry was made through a window.

Burglary 
(blue on map), Sept. 25, 9000 block of McNair Drive, A resident reported someone entered the home and took jewelry. Forced entry was made through a door.
