Police: Woman Charged with Malicious Wounding, Being Drunk in Public

The following information was supplied by the Fairfax County Police Department in the most recent daily reports released May 29. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

The following items are from the recent daily activity report from the Mount Vernon Police District of the Fairfax County Police Department.

Assault (red on map), 5:15 p.m., May 28, 3700 block of Rolling Hills Avenue, Officers were called for an assault in progress. They found a 33-year-old man with a laceration to the head. He was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The victim and suspect are known to each other. Evelyn Paz, 20, of Alexandria, was charged with malicious wounding and being drunk in public.

In separate and unrelated incidents:

Trespass/Assault (blue on map), 5:45 p.m., May 28, 8200 block of Russell Road, Officers were called for someone allegedly trespassing at a business. An officer attempted to arrest Dolphus Ramsey, 32, of Maryland who allegedly struck the officer. Ramsey was charged with trespassing and assault on a police officer.
