Police: Alexandria Man Dies from Injuries in Car Accident

Fairfax County police are still investigating the accident which happened back in May.

Richard Pro, 85, of Alexandria, died in June after enduring injuries during a car crash that happened May 29 on Richmond Highway, according to an FCPD news release Friday.

According to the release, a 2004 Toyota Camry was proceeding southbound on Richmond Highway and attempted a left turn onto Sherwood Hall Lane around 2:36 p.m. May 29. While attempting the turn, the Toyota was struck by a 2004 Pontiac Vibe heading north and driven by a 45-year-old man. Pro was a passenger in the Pontiac.

Pro and the driver were transported to a local hospital. Speed and alcohol are not considered factors in the crash. The case remains under investigation.
