Police: Alexandria Man Arrested After Accidentally Shooting Woman

The latest weekly activity report provided by the Fairfax County Police Department on July 12. Mentioned arrests do not indicate convictions.

The following are incidents reported by the Fairfax County Police in their weekly report, released Friday.

Weapon (blue on map), 9:20 p.m., July 4, 8600 block of Walutes Circle, Officers were called for a shooting. Allegedly, Kadeem Allen, 22, of Alexandria, was handling a handgun when it unintentionally discharged. The round struck a 19-year-old woman in the upper body. She was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Allen was charged with reckless discharge of a firearm.

In separate and unrelated incidents:

Burglary (red on map), 9:45 a.m., July 4, 8100 block of Fordson Road, An employee reported someone entered the community pool and stole tools. Forced entry was made through the front door.

Missing Adult Returns Home, An Alexandria woman reported missing Saturday on Marlan Drive returned home in the early morning hours Sunday. Anna Ruth Mazurek, 38, returned home on her own and unharmed, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

Trespassing (yellow on map), 10 p.m., July 3, 3700 block of Fielding Street, Officers observed a wanted individual on the property. Michael Kamara, 20, of Alexandria, was arrested, served the outstanding warrant and charged with trespassing.

Robbery (green on map), 5:45 a.m., July 7, 7200 block of Fordson Road, Two men were approached by a suspect who pushed and punched the two victims. The suspect took cash and fled. The victims were not seriously injured.

Unauthorized Use
(purple on map), 9:30 p.m., July 7, 8000 block of Fordson Road, Officers were called for a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. They located Brenda Dilworth, 50, of no fixed address. She was allegedly driving a rented truck which was overdue in another state. She was charged with unauthorized use.

Burglary (red on map), 7:05 a.m., July 8, 8800 block of Pear Tree Village Court, An employee reported someone entered two businesses, but it is not clear if anything was stolen. Forced entry was made through the front doors.

Robbery (green on map), 9:40 p.m., July 10, 2300 block of Glendale Terrace, A 47-year-old woman stepped out of her car and was approached by three men. One suspect demanded her keys. She began screaming and the suspects fled. She was not injured.

  • 8100 block of Richmond Highway, cigarettes from business
  • 3700 block of Rolling Hills Avenue, money from residence
  • 6900 block of South Kings Highway, beer from business
  • 8600 block of Village Square Drive, GPS from vehicle
  • 3900 block of Woodhue Place, license plate from vehicle

  • 7200 block of Fordson Road, 2003 Ford Crown
  • 8500 block of Richmond Highway, 2008 Nissan Sentra
  • Sacramento Drive/Francisco Way, 1996 Chevrolet Caprice
  • 5300 block of Tessie Terrace, 2010 Kawasaki motorcycle
