FCPD to Have Active Presence During Holiday Weekend
DWI patrol will be busy in Fairfax County for Cinco de Mayo.
With multiple festivals, parties and events such as the Kentucky Derby and Cinco de Mayo celebrations scheduled throughout the weekend, the Fairfax County Police Department will be busy on DWI patrol in the county.
PIO Lucy Caldwell said in an email to Patch that it's likely many people will include alcohol in their celebrations this weekend.
"We strongly encourage revelers not to drink and drive and to assign a non-drinking person to be the designated driver," she said.

A DWI checkpoint is scheduled for the Sully Police District Friday night and another checkpoint will take place in the McLean Police District on Saturday night.
