Driver Rescued Wednesday Night From Overturned Vehicle in Fort Hunt

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue responds, arrives on scene at 8:04 p.m.

A driver was rescued from an overturned vehicle Wednesday night at 8600 Plymouth Road, according to a spokeswoman from the Fairfax County Police Department.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue responded to a call at 8:04 p.m. and were on the scene Wednesday night of the single vehicle accident in Fort Hunt. The location is near Plymouth Haven Baptist Church.

The vehicle apparently flipped over and the driver was trapped in the vehicle, according to the FCPD spokeswoman. The location is at or near the intersection of Plymouth Road and Fort Hunt Road.

The driver of the car, who was not identified, was concious and taken by ground to the hospital. No word on injuries.
