Cocaine Smuggled in Fruit Juice Cans at Virginia Port

Report: No arrests as more than 700 lbs. of drugs seized.

Inventive drug smugglers are reaching to the grocery shelf for new methods of getting drugs into the U.S. This time, it didn't work.

Customs officials seized 732 lbs. of cocaine hidden inside a shipping container at the Port of Norfolk, according to several media reports, including WJLA

The drugs were reportedly hidden in cans of fruit juice, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. No arrests have been made.

With a street value of as much as $100 million, officials say the cocaine was destined for New York, according to Norfolk's WTKR.
