Turkey Trots for Grownups!

Local area running opportunities this weekend!

It's the time of year to support your local schools and participate in a short run - all in good fun and community spirit!

Waynewood Elementary is sponsoring a 1 Mile fun run this Saturday, November 16, at the school. And Mount Vernon High School sponsoring a 5K through their neighborhood on Saturday, also. Both have onsite registrations, so it's not too late to sign up!

Next Saturday, Nov. 23rd, Ft. Hunt Elementary is sponsoring one in the Fort Hunt Park off the GW Parkway. It's a beautiful venue this time of year, and the safety of the closed park with no cars allowed past the parking lot, allows for the whole family to participate!

Registration at all of these options starts at 7 a.m. Contact each school for more information.

So, get out there and enjoy this fabulous fall weather, the atmosphere of the fall foliage, and keep those healthy habits going through the colder months. Run so you can gobble down your holiday meal with no regrets! And if you need a little help to prepare for next year's run... come visit us at MTVAC! We can get you in Turkey Trot shape!
