Congratulations on Mount Vernon Athletic Club's 40th Anniversary

Mount Vernon Athletic Club celebrates 40 years of great customer and community service.

Last week the Mount Vernon Athletic Club celebrated their 40th business birthday!  Congratulations to Aaron Volbrecht and his wonderful staff for reaching this milestone.

Most of us know Mount Vernon Athletic Club as the place to play tennis during the winter. You may not know that MVAC is owned by the Van Metre Companies. Mr. Van Metre met his lovely wife at MVAC where he would go to play tennis. For their first anniversary, he purchased the club for her as an anniversary present. What a sweet first and fortieth anniversary story.

It is a story that is certainly fitting for the strong sense of community found in MVAC members. The members say the top five reasons they love MVAC are convenience, no hassles, fitness results, price/value, and the wonderful customer service.

Mount Vernon Athletic Club is a private health & racquet club that feels exclusive while being inclusive. Founded in 1972, their mission has always been to offer a professional, friendly atmosphere for the entire family to enjoy. The club also provides a friendly, motivating and energizing environment for physical activities.  Staff, trained professionals, and fellow club members are both on hand to offer guidance and support.

MVAC has five indoor tennis courts, two racquetball courts, a state of the art fitness center, group exercise studio, a vast array of cardiovascular training equipment, certified professional Personal Trainers, group fitness classes, and a spa.

The 40th Anniversary party featured local celebrities like Supervisor Jeff McKay, seen with his daughter Leanne, Delegate Mark Sickles and State Senator Adam Ebbin. While the party was going on upstairs we could look through the windows and see tennis players on the court having a great time there.
