Family Life Weekend (The Blessing Challenge)

In his only Washington, D.C.-area appearance this fall, best-selling author John Trent will lead a unique Family Life Weekend conference Oct. 25-26 at Plymouth Haven Baptist Church in Alexandria.

Trent will lead a two-day conference, "The Blessing Challenge": Friday evening, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday morning, 9:00 a.m. to noon. Plymouth Haven Baptist Church is located at 8600 Plymouth Road in the Mt. Vernon area of Alexandria.

Through the two sessions (Friday night & Saturday morning) and additional material in a workbook that will be used at Plymouth Haven's Family Life Weekend, Trent will discuss:

  • There is a "life and death" choice that we all make.
  • Stepping towards, not away from, our children and others we love is at the heart of building a strong personal faith, as well as a strong marriage and family.
  • Ways you can encourage and build up singles, couples, single parents, grandparents, and families.
A fee of just $25 per couple or $15 per person covers the cost of attending the two-session conference, a workbook and a light dinner on Friday evening. Free child care is available at the church (by preregistration only).
