2012 Holiday Shop – A Mount Vernon Tradition
The 51st annual Holiday Shop – a popular Mount Vernon tradition – features a day-long bazaar of 50 invited artisans from the metro area who offer handcrafted pottery, basketry, fiber arts, paper, photography, and jewelry. Also for sale are orchids and other plants, and a variety of international crafts from India, Southeast Asia, and South and Central America.
The popular Country Kitchen features savory chutneys and baked goods from the MVUC kitchen; Helene's Boutique offers upscale resale decorative household items; and the Jewelry Shop sells estate jewelry. So you can shop all day, MVUC volunteers offer a tasty homemade lunch in the Hollin Hall mansion of cheese pie, soup, sandwiches, and dessert for a reasonable price.
Proceeds are used by the E.T. Group to fund church projects. For more information, call 703-765-5950 or visit www.mvuc.org.
