Chamber of Commerce Quarterly Biz Lunch

Affordable Care Act and Small
Business:  From Payments to Tax Credits



Are you a small business owner who is not sure if you must provide
health insurance to your employees?  Are
you trying to figure out how to qualify for the small business tax credit?



 The Mount Vernon-Lee Chamber of Commerce Quarterly Biz Lunch, Thursday,
March 6, will feature Alexandra Piotrowski, SBA Economic Development
Specialist, who will present an informational session to explain parts of the
Affordable Care Act.  The event will be
at Springhill Suites, 6065 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA  22303, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, and cost is
$10 in advance and $20 at the door.

 Ms. Piotrowski will discuss the Employer Shared Responsibility Payment,
what provides eligibility for the small business tax credit, and what is
happening with the Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) in the
Federally facilitated market place.   Patrick
Cooney, The Federal Group, a local health care authority will facilitate the
meeting.  Lunch will be provided by Roy
