FCPS Canceled Today; Other Agencies Affected

National Weather Service issues advisory for the Northern Virginia area

Fairfax County Public Schools and after-school activities are canceled today due to overnight freezing rainfall.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the area until noon. Temperatures will hover around 38 degrees.

General District Court: Morning docket canceled; court will open at noon today.

Circuit Court: Open on time.

Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court: Morning docket canceled; afternoon docket will begin at 1:30 p.m.  Court staff to report at noon.

Fairfax County Government offices are open today, however employees have been granted unscheduled leave. Emergency service personnel should report as scheduled.
