The Virginia Department of Transportation will be giving Fort Hunt-area roads a facelift this week through Halloween.

According to Del. Scott Surovell's Dixie Pig blog, here's a checklist of repaving activity that Fort Hunt can expect to see this week on area roads, in this order:

  • Quander to Sherwood Hall Lane (northbound and southbound lanes)
  • Hunting Cove Place to Woodnut Road (northbound)
  • Woodmont Road to Route 1 (northbound)
  • Route 1 to Woodmont Road (southbound)

Road repair activities are usually contingent on fair weather, so if the area sees expected rain on Wednesday, there will be some delays.

All repaving should be completed by Oct. 31.
